None of us are immune to experiencing painful life events and many of us are affected in some way by these painful life experiences. Some of us develop negative beliefs about ourselves that harm our self esteem as well as interferes with our relationships with others. Some of us have certain triggers that remind us of these painful life events which can be scary and debilitating. There are many symptoms of trauma and these are just some of them.
Our role as therapists is to help you learn more about yourself and how your painful life events may be affecting you now. We do that with first building a working relationship with you that is built on trust and a sense of safety. We work to earn your trust and want you to know that you will be in control of when and how you share your story.
Our therapists have training in two different evidenced based therapeutic interventions called Eye Movement Desenstitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). They would love to further explain these interventions in person for it is important that you feel you have your questions answered before we proceed with these interventions. We would welcome you to schedule an appointment with us to see if we are a good fit. You deserve to feel in control of your life; both in the present and with your future. We would love to walk beside you in this path of healing.
