Hello, I’m Erica, I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist and I work primarily from a systemic approach, what this means is the therapy works explores clients relationships, experiences and other aspects of their world while also remaining client focused and strengths based. I feel the therapeutic relationship can be a strong and powerful tool for moving forward in a positive way. I work from a range of systemic approaches as well as behavioral models based on the needs and goals of the clients I am working with. I feel that therapy is a journey that can assist anyone in making changes and finding more positivity and light in their lives.

I have a background in working with individuals, couples, families and adolescents in the fields of addiction and substance abuse, eating disorders, self harm, as well as depression, relational and family issues and anxiety. I also work with couples on infidelity issues, transitional problems, relational issues as well as addiction concerns. I am also experienced working with special needs populations and their families on family and parenting concerns.

I am a Pennsylvania licensed Practical Counselor with formal therapy training gained from a Masters degree in Marriage and Family Studies from Capella University, and a bachelor’s degree in Health and Human Development from Penn State. I am also a National Board Certified Counselor and a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor. I have training in Family Behavioral Treatment for Eating Disorders from the Training Institute for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders as well as Cognitive/Relational Behavioral Therapy, Reality and Choice therapy, Co-occurring disorders, Addiction and Post traumatic stress disorder. I am also working towards State licensure for Marriage and Family Therapy.
